Acer ACER 1705SMI 3.0Ghz Driver. This patch is to enable Hyper-Threading on the ACER 1705Smi 3.0Ghz. Any previous bios updates do not support HTT. Just follow these 3 steps
File Contents: 1. You need to make a dos bootable disk without loading any memory managers, autoexec.bat or config.sys. Basically just command.com, io.sys, msdos.sys and remove all other files.
2. A dos 6 boot disk is ideal. Extract the contents of the zip file which should have 3 files onto the bootable floppy.
3. Boot laptop from floppy and just type p.bat at the prompt
